Support Student Mathematicians

Back by popular demand, this workshop helps participants support K-8 mathematicians with inquiry-based strategies that extend beyond the basics of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

•  Learn to identify and write 14 types of problems that form the basis of Common Core and Indiana College and Career Ready Standards.

•  Understand three distinct developmental levels that students progress through as they move from concrete comprehension to abstract reasoning.

•  Develop multiple strategies for meaningful assessment and grading.

•  Broaden math experience to make connections to number sense, early algebra and other essential concepts.

This workshop combines research-based practices with real-world classroom expertise.
