After our Saturday event with Cornelius Minor on November 7, 2020, we had several attendees express interest in joining an affinity group surrounding the discussions from the day. We believe this is an excellent idea, and we want to offer a space to make this happen. If you are interested in further reflecting on how we can make powerful moves toward equity and create spaces in our schools and classrooms that broaden access to learning for all children, join us!
We believe these sessions may consist of various topics and ideas. Perhaps we will explore one specific question in a session. Maybe we would invite a guest speaker to attend that we feel could provide insight. We might utilize a reading to interrogate or reflect upon. We might bring problems of practice to a session and use our critical friends as thinking partners. The group will make decisions about our needs and goals upon our first meeting, and the Partnership will assist in making readings, people, and protocols available.
