Using Fluency Data to Create Meaningful Mathematical Instruction

Back by popular demand. There is nothing more important than strategic teaching informed by meaningful assessment. In this workshop, teachers will:

– Be introduced to the fact fluency interview, the mathematical equivalent of reading’s running records,

– Learn how to analyze fact fluency data to design small group and one-on-one instruction, and

– Discover new ways to make game play and technology applications more than simple skill-and-drill offerings, allowing you to look more deeply at differentiating activities for students.

Led by Courtney Flessner, instructor of math education at IUPUI, this workshop combines research-based practices with real-world classroom expertise.
