We know this 2020-2021 school year is like no other. You might be teaching 100% in person, hybrid, or virtual only. You might be doing one form of teaching one week and find out that’s going to change the following week. We see you, we appreciate you, and we want to help you.

We’ve spent the summer and the first half of this year searching for resources that can help teaching in any or all of the above scenarios. We’ve used many of these tools in our own teaching or observed them in other teachers’ classrooms (in person and virtual!) The tools we have put together promote engagement, collaboration, community, student agency, and accountability. We believe many of the tools we have discovered can work in our classrooms now and when we return to a time our students are with us full time, with no questions as to whether or not that will be the case the following week.

We are offering two sessions in December to share what we’ve discovered and provide opportunities for you to share what’s been working for you! These sessions will be free of charge. We hope you will join us to learn and share. Please join us for one session (or both!) We are looking forward to sharing space with you.

Courtney Flessner is Assistant Director of the Partnership for Inquiry Learning. Colleen Cummings is Academic Dean of Explore! Community School. Ryan Flessner is a Professor in the Butler University College of Education.
